Atlanta playwright Cleage examines the lives, memories and hopes of four female former slaves expecting a better life in the West away from the uncertainties of the post Civil War South. Praise from Teachers

"I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed the play (THE LITTLE FOXES) and talk back. Half the time, the kids are just looking to get out of class when they sign up for these trips. But, they were completely surprised, I think, by how much they enjoyed the performance. It was so great for them to witness such a high quality ensemble and a classic script. Good stuff! Please let (the actors) know how much we appreciated the kindness of the ensemble to answer questions and take photos. It meant so much to these little aspiring actors." Thanks,
G. B. ~ Director of Theatre ~ East Paulding High School

"I wanted to take the time to thank you and the Theatre in the Square staff for your hospitality. My students truly enjoyed the experience of watching LOOKING OVER THE PRESIDENT'S SHOULDER. The talk back after the show with Mr. Scott (the actor) was awesome! That afternoon the students went to rehearsal with an excitement that I have never seen before. I actually encouraged them to use Mr. Scott as a model and an inspiration. Being able to see such a fine actor actually pushed them to want to succeed. For the first time in 30 years, Osborne High School placed in the top 3 at the One Act Competition, won best ensemble, and won best actor and actress. I hope we can continue to visit Theatre in the Square in the future. The chance to see great shows and have the theater experience is something the students will remember for a long time." R.G. ~ Drama Teacher ~ Osborne High School

"Thank you so much for inviting us to attend THE TRUE STORY OF THE THREE LITTLE PIGS today. My kids loved it and talked about it all day! The play even sparked their interest in seeing a real courtroom, so we headed over to the Court across the square. Of course, we couldn't help stopping by the joke shop and picking up some noses of our own. I thought you would enjoy seeing a picture of my little piggies after I told them that they had to clean their pigsty rooms when they got home."
