Premiere Club
THE PREMIERE CLUB
The Premiere Club is Theatre in the Square’s volunteer support group. Our goal is to assist the Theatre in any way we can, while having fun, getting to know the Theatre, the staff, cast members, stage crews and each other. We provide helping hands as well as financial assistance to the Theatre. There are bi-monthly meetings where we discuss our projects, get updates directly from the theatre and have time for socializing.
Here are some of the things we do:
-Prepare and serve meals for cast and crew during productions; it’s a great way to get to know the people in this theatre community.
-Participate in a discussion with the director of the performance that is
about to open, then attend a dress rehearsal. It’s like a theatre appreciation class.
-Attend performances at other theatres as a group.
-Sponsor and support the Percolating Play Reading Series. This is the Theatre’s method to find new works and playwrights from the Southeast.
-Raise funds through various fund-raising events.
-Help the Theatre staff; e.g., stuff envelopes for season ticket and fund raising mailings, help find props, assist with social & donor events, etc.
-Anything else we can do to help. Bring your ideas.
-Meeting dates for 2010 are 2/8/10, 4/12/10, 6/14/10, 8/9/10 & 10/11/10 (all dates subject to change).
