About the performance

The response to this hit play has been over whelming and the Sanders are mighty grateful, ya’ll. And since many fans have not been able to get in to see the play during its sold-out run at Theatre in the Square, Mount Pleasant Homecoming with the very same cast will be at the Dallas Theatre (208 Main St, Dallas) starting June 22.

Mount Pleasant Homecoming is a brand new musical featuring that silver-voiced Sanders Family from Smoke on the Mountain, now reunited in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church after World War II. They’re in for some big post-war changes, and you’re in for their signature hymnal-thumping hilarity, all to the tune of great bluegrass and gospel music. Terrific entertainment for the whole family.

From Theatre in the Square:
*Head west on 120/Whitlock Ave./Dallas Highway approximately 14 miles.
*Turn right at the light onto Highway 6 Business. Continue approximately 4 miles.
* Highway 6 becomes Merchants Drive
*In downtown Dallas, take a left on Mains Street at the light just before the Historic Courthouse.
*The Dallas Theatre is on the left at 208 Main Street.
