MainStage Series:

The Savannah Disputation

MainStage - August 12, 2009 - September 20, 2009

Playwright: Evan Smith
Director: Jessica Phelps West

About the performance

Thank Heaven! - this show has been extended through Sept. 20th. Disputes involving saintly matters can be wickedly funny, as this new work by Savannah playwright Smith proves. A perky evangelical encounters a priest and two Catholic sisters. Her attempts to convert them to her style of Christianity have hilarious results. Recently premiered off-Broadway. This show has been SUZI RECOMMENDED!

For audiences 14 years and up.

$11 tickets for high school and college students are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (at 8pm) and Sundays (at 7pm). Students with proper ID will receive ½ price discount on available seats (reg. price $22). Student tickets are available starting at one hour before show time. We suggest calling the afternoon of the performance to check availability.

Theatre in the Square would like to thank to following panelists who joined us for a special discussion on the theological issues raised in The Savannah Disputation:

Father Gene Barrette of St. Thomas the Apostle, Smyrna
Father Bryan Small, Director of The Catholic Center, Emory University
Rev. Bob Tyler of Peachtree Christian Church, Atlanta
